Fashion Business Master’s Applications — Positioning, Deck & Interview
A four-session sprint for applicants to fashion and luxury business master’s programmes — SDA Bocconi MAFED, Istituto Marangoni, Parsons, Central Saint Martins and similar. These applications are not judged like job applications, and the personal branding materials are where most candidates lose ground. Session 1 — Positioning and reference strategy. We lock the narrative: why this programme, why now, and what specifically comes after. The application is not asking you to explain why you love this industry; it is asking where you are going. We also decide your reference strategy — who to approach, in what order, and how to frame the ask. We start here because references take the longest to come back. Session 2 — Personal branding deck structure. We outline the pages and the through-line connecting them, and decide what to feature and what to leave out. You build the first draft from the outline. Session 3 — Deck review and CV. We work through your draft and tighten it to what an admissions committee actually reads for, then reframe your CV for admissions rather than for a job application — they are not the same document. Session 4 — Interview preparation. Runs after submission, if you are invited, with particular focus on the question you will certainly be asked: why leave a good role now. Between sessions, send me drafts, outlines or anything you are unsure about, and I will come back to you within 48 hours on weekdays.
