Nail the MBA Essay
Most applicants write essays that are technically perfect, listing achievements and discussing "impact" and "leadership". They try to guess what the admissions committee wants to hear instead of telling the truth. This won't work. My goal is not just to edit your grammar or fix your flow. I want us to find the single cohesive story that ties your entire pre-MBA life together and then efficiently elevates it to make the adcom sit up and take notice. We will move past the surface-level facts of your resume and dig into the "why" behind your choices. This service is for applicants who are ready for honest feedback. It is for people who are willing to rewrite a draft three times because they know the first version was safe but boring. It is for candidates who want a partner who will push them to be specific and original rather than a coach who will just pat them on the back. My Promise: I cannot guarantee you admission. No one can. But I can guarantee that you will not submit a generic application. You will submit a set of essays that no one else could have written. You will walk away with a story that is bulletproof because we tested every single part of it together.
What's included
1. The "So What?" Test. Every sentence in your essay must earn its keep. I will challenge every vague claim you make. You increased sales by 20%? So what? What did you learn about human behavior in the process? How did that change the way you lead teams today? If you cannot answer these questions then the accomplishment does not belong in your essay. Together, we will turn generic bullet points into concrete evidence of your potential. 3. Surgical Editing & Cliché Busting I am allergic to clichés. If you write that you want to "be a bridge between cultures" or "leverage the diverse network" I will highlight it and tell you to try again. I will not fix your sentences to make them sound like everyone else. I will break them down until they sound like you. I will show you the "before" and "after" of your paragraphs so you can see exactly how a sharper focus transforms your narrative. 4. School-Specific Alignment A great essay for Wharton is not always a good a fit for Stanford. I will help you tailor your core story to the unique DNA of each school. We will not just swap out the school names. We will adjust the tone and the examples to prove you understand their specific culture.
- Iterative Edits: We will go back and forth on your essays until they are airtight. I do not count rounds of edits. We stop when the story is true and compelling.
- Theme Identification: Find the thread that connects your past, present, and future.
- Narrative Check: I will review your resume and short answers to ensure they align with your essays (not available for the Lite package)

Top 5 Leland Coach 2026 | 200+ M7 Admits | $5MM+ in scholarships
🏆 Selected as one of the Top 5 Coaches on Leland 🏆 As part of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business Admissions team, I reviewed hundreds of applications and learned what distinguished the successful candidates from those who were merely qualified for admission. I also obtained my MBA from Booth and have professional experiences in management consulting, tech, and the healthcare sectors. My focus in each sector was always marketing and strategy, helping each business stand out from its competition. Along the way, as I began helping friends and acquaintances gain admission to their top choice programs, I realized I had a passion for teasing out a person's story to highlight what separated them from the herd. I dove in to making admissions consulting a bigger part of my life, and have never looked back! I spend the bulk of my time with my clients helping create a framework for their stories. Where have you succeeded? Where have you failed? What excites you? What's different about you? My clients describe the work that I do as part admissions consulting and part executive coaching. The skills I impart help not only with creating an MBA application, but also with refining career goals and objectives. A lot of coaches promise to deliver, but you can verify my claims by looking at what former clients have said about me on Leland and at https://poetsandquants.com/consultant/faisal-khan/?pq-directory-type=consultant, where I have testimonials from clients admitted to all Top 10 schools and with over $5MM in combined scholarship grants, including full rides. As an MBA coach, it's not enough to simply have graduated from a top business school. As an active member of AIGAC - our global, governing body - I make sure to stay in close communication with the admissions teams at all of the top business schools. This is how a coach ensures they have the most up-to-date information about each business school's goals and objectives for the year, and can in turn help you craft an application that speaks to these.
