Michelle Liou

Hi! It's super nice to meet you - My name is Michelle and I'm an incoming BA at McKinsey. I’ve been through the recruiting process at Bain (R1 + R2), BCG (R1), McKinsey, and L.E.K., ultimately receiving offers from McKinsey & Company and L.E.K. Consulting. I’ve also worked in a private equity mega-fund (Permira), bulge bracket investment banking (Barclays), and T2 consulting (L.E.K.), with experience spanning TMT, Energy, Industrials, and Consumer. Through these experiences, I’ve developed a practical understanding of the nuances of each industry (buyside, sellside, consulting) and its interview processes, and particularly what it takes to succeed at each stage of the consulting recruiting process — from building a strong application to preparing for behavioral and case interviews. I’ve coached candidates through case interviews and recruiting, helping them sharpen their approach, communicate their thinking more clearly, and build confidence going into interviews. My goal is to make consulting recruiting feel less overwhelming and more structured, while helping you develop an approach that plays to your individual strengths. If you’re targeting top consulting firms and want personalized, practical guidance, I’d love to help!
