Hey! My name is Rachel and I am a recent admit of deferred MBA at Wharton, Columbia, Booth, and Haas. I'm well-versed in the process of building a compelling application, especially with students in finance / econ who are in the more competitive pool. Throughout college, I have interned at Goldman Sachs and Brookfield Asset Management, and I am familiar with applying to jobs in asset management, private equity and equity research. I am an MBA student at the Wharton School with a concentration in Health Care Management, and I understand firsthand how competitive MBA and dual-degree admissions have become. I am particularly familiar with applicants who are coming from technical, clinical, or research backgrounds and need to translate their work into the language of business, leadership, and strategy that MBA admissions committees value. Beyond admissions, my work spans healthcare innovation, entrepreneurship, and data-driven research, including building startup concepts, leading projects in health systems and AI, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams. These experiences have strengthened my ability to help applicants refine resumes, essays, and career goals so they present a compelling, authentic story. I earned my MD/MBA from Stanford and have coached applicants for several years, helping candidates gain admission to selective medical schools and business schools, including Wharton and Stanford GSB. Before focusing on MBA admissions, I worked as a medical school admissions coach, which taught me how to quickly identify what makes an applicant stand out and how to communicate it clearly. My focus is on essays and narrative development--helping clients tell their story in a way that feels authentic, structured, and compelling to admissions committees.

INSEAD alumnus and MBA admissions coach with firsthand experience navigating the application process independently, including admission to INSEAD. I support candidates across profiles: from early-career to experienced professionals, with a focus on positioning, storytelling, and school selection (US vs. Europe vs. Asia), including a clear ROI perspective on different programs. I also work with applicants managing lower GMAT scores, helping them strengthen overall profiles and application strategy.

With years of experience as the Assistant Director of the PhD Program at Harvard Business School, I advised and supported more than 130 students annually while also leading admissions committees for doctoral programs in addition to MBA programs. This work gave me direct, insider perspective on how the world’s most competitive business schools evaluate candidates and make decisions. Drawing on this expertise, I now coach prospective MBA students through every stage of the application journey — from crafting compelling personal narratives and refining essays, to interview preparation and strategic school selection. My approach emphasizes authenticity, clarity, and proven admissions insight, helping every client present their strongest and most competitive application.

I got into Wharton with a GMAT of 710 and TOEFL of 106, both well below the school's average. I also received scholarship and fellowship offers from NYU Stern and Michigan Ross. My test scores didn't define my application. What stood out was my unique story: diverse career pivots across functions and markets, a niche in entrepreneurship, design thinking, and EdTech, and a track record of doing things others thought impossible (like publishing two books before ever working in corporate). I leaned into what made me different, not what made me "the same best" as everyone else. That's the biggest mistake I see applicants make: trying to fit into what they think MBA programs want. But admissions committees aren't looking for the "best" candidate. They're looking for a diverse class of unique individuals. Your job isn't to be perfect. It's to be distinctly you. I pursued a dual degree, MBA and Master's in Education, at Penn because I'm genuinely passionate about empowering others. That same passion drives my coaching today. I also know what it feels like to work with big-name consultants who don't remember your story and give generic advice. My approach is different.
