As a former Kearney consultant and Wharton/Lauder admissions insider, I help candidates cut through the noise and present their authentic selves—because the best business leaders aren’t carbon copies. My approach blends 7+ years of management consulting rigor with hands-on recruiting and admissions experience. At Kearney, I led teams through complex transformations while honing my talent-spotting skills through recruiting efforts (turns out identifying great candidates isn’t so different from building high-performing consulting teams). And as a Wharton Admissions Fellow, I learned what really makes applications click (hint: it’s not just GMAT scores or fancy job titles). I strongly believe that diverse perspectives fuel innovation—a principle I now bring to my advisory work. As a Wharton Admissions Fellow and Lauder interviewer, I saw firsthand how powerful storytelling can bridge gaps in representation. I’m particularly passionate about helping underrepresented candidates navigate the MBA maze. I am well-versed in global cultural immersion: I hold an MBA from Wharton and a Master of Arts in International Studies from Lauder, as well as Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communications and French from the University of Pennsylvania. Fluent in English, Mandarin, and French, I’ve seen how languages and identities shape leadership, and thus can help candidates turn their unique experiences into competitive advantages. Hi everyone! I’m Sydney, a 2024 MBA graduate from Harvard Business School. Having been admitted to several M7 programs, I know how to shape a story that stands out in a highly competitive process. In my own applications, I successfully explained both a past career pivot - from Investment Banking to the less traditional field of Investor Relations - and my plans to pivot again after HBS into the business of sports. That dual experience gives me a unique perspective on how to craft essays and interviews that clearly frame both where you’ve been and where you want to go. I also work closely with applicants to determine whether business school is the right fit, and if it is, how to approach the journey with confidence and clarity.

I coach prospective MBA applicants who are interested in media, entertainment, and how those industries intersect with the future of tech. Before business school, I worked in management consulting at PwC, and after earning my MBA from Harvard Business School, I successfully pivoted into a role at the intersection of media, entertainment, and technology at Meta. At HBS, I served as President of the Entertainment & Media Club and as VP of Admissions for the African American Student Union, and in both roles I coached students through the MBA decision process and application strategy. My approach is objective and practical, focused on “why MBA” clarity, career strategy, narrative development, and essay review, and I also help with test study strategy and prioritization as someone who took multiple approaches to reach the results I needed and understands that process deeply.

I am currently an MBA candidate at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and earned my Bachelor of Business Administration with highest honors from the Red McCombs School of Business at UT Austin. Professionally, I’ve worked across investment banking, private equity, and strategic finance, partnering with founders, corporate boards, and institutional investors to shape business narratives and navigate complex strategic decisions. I approach admissions the same way investors evaluate opportunities: through leadership, judgment, trajectory — and, most importantly, fit. The strongest applications show not only why you want a school, but why that specific school is positioned to accelerate your goals. I particularly enjoy working with applicants pursuing careers in business or finance, though I help candidates across backgrounds move beyond resume bullets and develop thoughtful, authentic stories about motivation and impact. My focus isn’t just essay polishing; it’s helping you articulate a narrative that explains your past, shows intentionality in the present, and convincingly points to your future — all while remaining true to who you are. I read MBA applications for the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley; I sat on the UT Austin MBA Student Admissions Committee when I was earning my MBA; and I've been a recruiter for top tech companies in the SF Bay Area. I received a full Consortium fellowship to complete my MBA and was also named a Forte Fellow. This coupled with my over 10 years in college admissions make me uniquely qualified to offer a diverse and informed perspective on putting together a strong application.

As a JD/MBA student at Michigan Ross, I bring experience across law, finance, entrepreneurship, and international business, including working with private equity firms in New York and projects across Botswana, Colombia, China, and India. At Ross, I’m involved in the community through student admissions, including interviewing prospective students, as well as the Entrepreneurship & Venture Capital Club and International Investment Fund.
