Work with Manee Ngozi
About
I help ambitious applicants get into top graduate programs, from Harvard and the Ivy League to the best schools in their field. We start with your career: what impact you want to make and how this degree gets you there, which becomes the backbone of a compelling application. I also help low-income applicants plan for financial aid and scholarships so an expensive program becomes possible. Expect honest feedback, clear deadlines, and a coach in your corner from start to finish.
Manee Ngozi’s PhD Programs Qualifications
I help aspiring PhD students choose and get into programs that lead to a flourishing life and research that makes an impact, thinking beyond rankings and prestige. A PhD is a five-plus-year commitment, so we start with the questions you care about and the career you want it to open. I hold a Master of Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and am currently a PhD student at Boston College, so I've been through this process recently myself. I've served as an assistant principal and worked in curriculum development and qualitative research at MIT and the Abigail Adams Institute. I've coached more than 25 people, including PhD applicants shaping their research proposals. I'm especially committed to low-income applicants, helping them find fully funded programs, fellowships, and fee waivers so cost never decides their future. Together we'll sharpen your research interests, find faculty and programs that fit them, and build a statement of purpose that shows why you belong there.

Why do I coach?
When I applied to Harvard, I had no one to show me how the process worked. I learned the hard way how much a strong application depends on knowing what to say and how to say it, and how many talented people fall short simply because no one showed them. I believe the right education can set someone on a path to a life of purpose, one where their work helps them and the people around them flourish. Too often, applicants treat grad school as the goal rather than a step on that path. I coach because I love helping people map out where they want to go, find the program that gets them there, and make it happen, regardless of where they're starting from.
