STEM, Finance, or Consulting: Positioning Yourself for a Deferred MBA
About the event
A banking offer and a computer science degree raise very different questions for a deferred MBA committee. Finance and consulting candidates make up a crowded part of the pool, so the work is showing why your path calls for an MBA beyond the standard analyst-to-business-school pipeline. STEM applicants, whom many deferred programs actively encourage, often face the opposite challenge: making a credible case for business leadership without walking away from their technical strengths. Yash went from BCG to Stanford GSB as an applicant from an overrepresented background, and he now coaches deferred candidates across all three tracks. Expect his read on how each background tends to get evaluated, and on the places where applicants with strong résumés still end up sounding interchangeable.
