Interview Ready 2: The Behavioral Questions That Decide the Offer
About the event
Technical questions are a pass or fail gate. Behavioral questions decide who gets the offer. This session covers that second half of the interview. They come in two kinds. Stories start with "tell me about a time." Scenarios start with "what would you do if." Each has its own structure, and both run the same check underneath. If this banker got stuck at O'Hare with you for six hours during a flight delay, would they want to kill you? What we'll cover: - Four or five core stories that flex across failure, leadership, conflict, and success - STAR PUNCH, and the punchline that ties a story back to banking - The Trojan Horse, working real technical work into a soft question - Zooming in on one specific moment so the story sounds lived - Scenario questions with GSL: the goal, the short term, the long term - Three worked scenarios: the ethical trap, two VPs with one deadline, and the teammate who is not pulling weight Want to hear how your stories land before a banker does? I run a 90-minute mock interview with a scorecard debrief at the end. Book a free 15-minute intro to see if it is a good fit. Part 2 of Interview Ready, a six part run on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Each one stands alone, so jump in anywhere. I'm the founder of OFFERGOBLIN and ex-Centerview tech.
