I’ve just been through exactly the process you’re about to start. This summer I was a Technology M&A Summer Analyst at Evercore in London and converted it into a return offer. Before that I interned in IB at Investec and spent nine months as a growth equity analyst at Alanda Capital, so I’ve recruited for and worked on both the advisory side and the investing side. I also didn’t come from a finance degree. I studied Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method at LSE (First-Class Honours) and had to teach myself the technicals and build a convincing story from scratch.
