Welcome to my profile! With over a decade of experience as an acting professor at prestigious institutions like UCLA and USC, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to my coaching. I've had the privilege of mentoring over 100 aspiring actors, helping them refine their craft and achieve their goals in the competitive world of acting. My approach is rooted in self-taught techniques, honed through years of teaching at renowned schools such as L'Ecole du Jeu. Whether you're preparing for auditions or looking to deepen your understanding of the art, I'm here to guide you every step of the way. Let's work together to unlock your full potential in acting!

Why do I coach?
I coach because I love helping actors discover possibilities they did not know they had. Over decades of directing and teaching, I have explored how the body and imagination can open the door to complex characters and powerful emotions. That exploration led me to develop the Emotional Distancing Phenomenon (EDP). My goal is to help actors bring depth and authenticity to their characters while preserving their own emotional well-being. I want each actor to leave our work together with greater confidence, creative freedom, and practical tools they can use independently.

My training was rooted in practice and sustained artistic research. For 17 years, I led my own theater company in Rio de Janeiro, developing my approach through rehearsals, experimentation, and the creation of original productions. This self-directed education laid the foundation for my work as a director and acting teacher, and later informed my teaching at UCLA, USC, and L’École du Jeu in Paris.
