This package is for candidates figuring out whether a career in risk is the right direction, as well as those who already know it is and want a resume and a clear target list. In our first session, we'll go through your background, education, and experience, talk through what market risk, credit risk, and model risk roles actually involve day to day, and take a first look at your resume together. After the session, I'll send you a written summary of role types within risk and detailed suggestions to revise your resume. In our second session, we'll pick up from there. If you're still deciding, we'll talk through your reaction to the role summary and settle on a direction. Either way, we'll review your updated resume and build a specific list of target roles and companies suited to your background. I spent 20+ years across market risk, model risk, and trading at UBS, Deutsche Bank, and J.P. Morgan, including heading a twenty-person global model validation team, and I've interviewed hundreds of candidates and hired dozens across these firms. My guidance reflects what a hiring manager in risk is actually looking for, both in a candidate's direction and on the page. Two 60-minute live video sessions, one to two weeks apart to give you time to reflect and revise, plus a written role summary and resume feedback sent by email after session 1. Former Trading MD at UBS & Director of Model Risk at Deutsche Bank
I've worked on both sides of risk management. As Director of Model Risk at Deutsche Bank, I headed a twenty-person global team of model validators covering rates, FX, equities, and commodities, working closely with regulators during supervisory reviews in London, New York, and Singapore. I later moved into valuations and market risk, doing independent price verification on complex derivatives portfolios alongside front office, financial control, and internal audit. Before that, as a Managing Director running a derivatives trading desk at UBS, I sat on the trading side that risk teams oversee, so I understand both how risk decisions get made and how they land with the desk. I coach candidates targeting market risk, credit risk, and model risk roles, as well as model validation and valuations control positions. I focus on the technical questions these interviews actually test, including risk sensitivities, VaR and stress testing concepts, and how models are validated and challenged, along with how to present a risk background clearly and confidently in interviews You may notice I don't have reviews here yet.
