Work with Eshwar
About
As your MCAT Coach/Instructor, I’ll take a structured, personalized approach: focused content review where you need it most, targeted QBank practice, and debriefs of Full-Length Practice Exams to identify what is limiting your score (content gap, reasoning strategy, pacing, or test-day execution). I’ll keep you working in your Optimal Challenge Zone: difficult enough to drive improvement without wasting time on material you've already mastered. Ultimately, on test day, you'll trust your preparation and approach so you can perform at your best.
Eshwar’s MCAT Qualifications
Scored a 522 on the MCAT
Hello! My name is Eshwar, and I’ve taken the MCAT twice under very different circumstances, scoring a 522 in 2020 and a 520 four years later. Performing at an elite level twice taught me that a strong MCAT score isn’t about having one great test day—it comes from building a method that holds up over time. As I prepare to reapply to medical school, I want to help my fellow aspiring physicians develop that approach and showcase their academic potential. My background includes research at the NIH Vaccine Research Center and AstraZeneca, along with three years of hands-on clinical experience as a Lead Ophthalmic Technician. These experiences have given me a strong scientific foundation that extends beyond textbook familiarity and helps me explain difficult concepts in a practical, intuitive way. As your tutor, I’ll take a structured, personalized approach: focused content review where you need it most, targeted QBank practice, and meticulous debriefs of Full-Length Practice Exams to identify what is limiting your score (content gap, reasoning strategy, pacing, or test-day execution). I’ll keep you working in your Optimal Challenge Zone: difficult enough to drive improvement without wasting time on material you've already mastered. Ultimately, on test day, you'll trust your preparation and approach so you can perform at your best.

Why do I coach?
Many pre-meds treat the MCAT as an overwhelming obstacle; however, I reframe the MCAT as the pre-med's greatest opportunity to build lifelong learning habits while showcasing academic proficiency under pressure and readiness for the rigors of Medical School. That's why as a repeat 520+ scorer, I'm here to help my fellow aspiring physicians walk into test day operating at peak capacity (with knowledge, strategy and confidence) and come away with habits that last well beyond the MCAT.
Work Experience
Lead Ophthalmic Technician
The Medical Eye Center
December 2022 - November 2025
I assisted Dr. Gagan Singh, MD and Dr. David Yeh, MD in comprehensive and subspecialty evaluations, documenting findings and coordinating care plans in this high-volume, multi-site practice in Germantown, MD and Charles Town, WV. I performed multimodal ophthalmic imaging (OCT, fundus photography, visual fields) and obtained visual acuity and autorefraction measurements based on patients’ diagnoses and clinical findings. I also trained new technicians on imaging protocols, screening workflows, and pre-op cataract surgery paperwork completion, standardizing data collection and improving efficiency. I delivered presentations for clinic staff on corneal pathology and Phototherapeutic Keratectomy (PTK) and on the history and clinical applications of Amniotic Membrane Contact Lenses.

Formulation Associate Scientist
National Institutes of Health
December 2021 - November 2022
I was a Formulation Associate Scientist in the Vaccine Production Program, part of the Vaccine Research Center (NIAID/NIH) I performed biophysical characterization studies to evaluate the impact of thermal, mechanical, and freeze-thaw stresses on VRC biotherapeutic and vaccine formulations. I also performed method development, study design, and timeline and sample management for multiple projects, coordinating timelines with cross-functional teams.

Drug Delivery Summer Intern
AstraZeneca
June 2019 - August 2019
I investigated Hydrophobic Ion Pairing (HIP) to increase therapeutic peptide oral bioavailability. I prepared and characterized peptide-excipient complexes, and then assessed performance using in-vitro tools. I presented my research project as an internal poster titled “Exploring Hydrophobic Ion Pairing for Oral Delivery of Peptides”. Prior to this, from June to August 2018 I interned at MedImmune (now AstraZeneca) in the Dosage Form Design and Development (DFDD) Department. I investigated the freeze-thaw stability of mRNA-loaded Lipid Nanoparticles (LNPs) I formulated in various buffers with different cryoprotectants. I performed the following biophysical characterizations: DLS, Ribogreen Assay, and HPLC. I presented my research project as an internal poster titled “Freeze-Thaw Stability of mRNA-loaded Lipid Nanoparticles”.
