I’ve built and led teams across very different environments: McKinsey (Engagement Manager), Fortune 500 Corporate Strategy (Director), and now trying my hand in the startup world (COO). I’ve seen how careers can evolve in very different environments and what can separate high performers at each stage. Received my MBA from Dartmouth Tuck. My most consistent career feedback - and what I am most proud of - is being known as an empathetic, direct, and highly invested coach. I care deeply about developing great people and building confidence. About David
I'm originally from Canada, grew up mostly in Ohio and went to Notre Dame for undergrad. I initially thought I would be a history professor, but after a few entrepreneurial pursuits in undergrad, found myself drawn to the business world. I started out at a Boston investment management firm, went to Tuck for business school, then was at McKinsey and in strategy at a bank in my hometown before becoming the founding CEO at Caliber. I also had a cup of coffee in the Air Force Reserves along the way. My absolute favorite part of my career has been coaching and mentorship, so very excited to meet all of you. Outside of work I have a wife who works in VC/PE and two boys under three! I'm a huge Notre Dame football fan and long-suffering supporter of the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Why do I coach?
I love coaching and seeing other people succeed. When people say "do what you love" - coaching is that thing for me. There are so many cool experiences, companies, and roles out there. I want to help people achieve their goals and build the life they want.
