Why do I coach?

When I first took the GRE, my score was 296 (Quant: 158, Verbal: 138, AWA: 4.5). At that time (2019), I remember feeling frustrated and overwhelmed by the exam. Many preparation methods I tried simply did not work, and it took a long time to understand how ETS actually designs the test. Eventually, through a very structured and disciplined approach, I was able to improve my score to 339 (Quant: 169, Verbal: 170, AWA: 5.0). That journey completely changed how I view the GRE. It taught me that success on this exam is rarely about talent. It is about having the right strategy, the right structure, and the right mentorship. I made a record improvement of 43 points on the GRE which just shows that with the right strategy and discipline, you can completely change a student's trajectory. That experience is the main reason I coach today. I know exactly what it feels like to struggle with the exam, and I also know how transformative the right guidance can be. Many of my students are working professionals or busy students who are trying to balance GRE preparation with demanding schedules. Helping them build confidence, develop strong analytical skills, and eventually achieve scores that open doors to top programs is extremely rewarding for me. Coaching is meaningful to me because every high score represents months of discipline, persistence, and belief from the student. Being part of that journey is something I genuinely value.
