Molefe’s Management Consulting Qualifications
Experience level: Consultant
Molefe has helped clients get into these companies:
Former McKinsey & Company consultant with 7+ years experience across the San Francisco, New York offices and Johannesburg offices, advising leading financial institutions and sovereign wealth funds on strategy, M&A, AI integration, and organizational restructuring — including one of Wall Street's largest banks, a major US startup bank, and a Gulf sovereign wealth fund where I assessed the feasibility of a greenfield gold mining investment. I went through the McKinsey case interview process twice (pre-MBA at McKinsey Johannesburg, post-MBA at McKinsey US) and know exactly what separates a strong candidate from a passable one. Most recently, I served as CEO of a last-mile logistics company with 35+ employees, giving me an operator's perspective most case coaches don't have — we'll work through real client problems, not textbook ones. Harvard MBA. Originally from South Africa, so I'm particularly equipped to coach international and non-traditional applicants on positioning their story for MBB.

About Molefe
I grew up in South Africa and built my career across consulting, banking, investing, and operating businesses. I started at McKinsey in Johannesburg, later worked in New York and San Francisco, helped launch Discovery Bank, completed my MBA at Harvard Business School, and more recently led Droppa, a logistics technology company, as Managing Director. I know what it feels like to prepare for high-stakes interviews and try to break into competitive rooms. My coaching style is practical, warm, and direct. I help people tell their story clearly, build confidence, and prepare in a way that feels real.
Why do I coach?
I coach because good advice can change someone’s career path. I was helped by people who gave me honest guidance and opened doors, and I enjoy doing the same for others. I like helping candidates simplify their story, sharpen their thinking, and walk into interviews feeling prepared, credible, and confident.
Work Experience

Interim CEO
Droppa
June 2025 - March 2026
Led a company of 35+ employees, managed the full P&L, and oversaw a network of 1,000+ owner drivers completing >100,000 deliveries per month. Drove the end-to-end launch of the Owner Driver App — a proprietary platform that digitised delivery capture, proof of delivery, and driver management across the branch network. With over 400,000 deliveries processed through the app, the rollout replaced paper-based operations and created a single source of truth across all branches. Under my leadership, Droppa won the FNB Best Enterprise Solution 2025 and the 2025 Telkom Transformation & Innovation Award. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Organizational Leadership and +3 skills
