I started just like you—an ambitious freshman (or even a slightly lost sophomore) who stepped onto campus and was immediately overwhelmed by the flood of club applications: business fraternities, consulting groups, finance societies. I thought those names on my resume would be my golden ticket. But here’s what I’ve learned: no club or title guarantees you that dream internship or job. What truly made the difference for me were the people who believed in me—those who offered real advice, honest feedback, and mentorship when I needed it most. That’s how I landed offers I once thought were out of reach. One of those mentors came from Leland, and their support made all the difference. Now, I’m here to pay it forward.
