About Lucas
I’m passionate about the intersection of sports, technology, and innovation, and how it can transform the way organizations connect with fans. In my current role at WSC Sports, I partner with some of the largest sports rights holders across Latin America to drive strategy, fan engagement, and growth. By combining data, technology, and local market insight, I help organizations reach fans where they are today while building for how they will consume sports in the future. Across more than a decade of experience spanning the public, private, and innovation sectors, my work has consistently focused on strategy, partnerships, and impact. I believe innovation is not just a tool for business growth, but a way to strengthen communities and create new pathways for the next generation of leaders. Before WSC Sports, I was a consultant at The Bridgespan Group, where I advised leading nonprofits, philanthropies, and mission-driven organizations on strategy and growth. I earned a joint MBA and MPP from Harvard Business School and the Harvard Kennedy School, where I was honored to receive fellowships, including the David M. Rubenstein Fellowship, the George Leadership Fellowship, and the RISE Fellowship. Earlier in my career, I served as Transportation and Infrastructure Director for Congressman Seth Moulton, where I led federal policy initiatives and supported large-scale infrastructure projects. I also worked on economic development efforts through public-private partnerships and contributed to several political campaigns across Massachusetts. Beyond my professional work, I’m deeply committed to mentoring and coaching individuals interested in careers across sports, technology, and public service. I enjoy helping others turn ideas into action, navigate complex career decisions, and build paths that align with both impact and ambition.
Why do I coach?
I know how transformative getting into the right program can be. As a first-generation college student, I never dreamt that one day I could be going to Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School. I didn't know anyone who had gone there, and I thought it was unattainable. Luckily for me, I had amazing friends and mentors who pushed me to apply and, more importantly, helped me tell my unique and authentic story. I will be forever grateful to these people for pushing me to dig deep and tell my stories throughout my applications. I want to do the same for others; I want to ensure that other capable candidates tell their authentic stories and gain admission to the programs of their dreams. At HBS, I represented LASO on the admissions committee, helping to demystify the process for prospective students and building strategies to recruit more candidates of color. My personalized approach ensures that candidates are able to tell their personal and professional stories in a way that is compelling to members of the admissions committee. I do so in a holistic way focusing on essays, recommendations, test scores, resume building, leadership opportunities, and more. My conviction in the inherent potential of every individual has empowered me to steer my clients toward success. By assisting them in recognizing the significance of their unique experiences and backgrounds, I've facilitated their ability to distinguish themselves and attain their objectives. This fundamental belief has served as a catalyst throughout my coaching voyage, continually motivating me to aid others in realizing their utmost potential.
