This package is for applicants ready to start crafting their story into a winning essay. We start with the ideation phase by brainstorming storylines that demonstrate the impact you will have with your unique background. We create a strong outline, and then spend as much time as needed to revise and iterate on your draft! Finally, it is time for polishing. We take a detailed review of your essay to make sure it is ready for submission! NOTE: Each package is for one school. Additional packages or 1:1 coaching sessions may be added for additional schools. Here is what you can expect: - BRAINSTORMING SESSION (1 hr): Here we want to really understand what elements of your experience and background should be central to your story. We think about what your target school is looking for to make sure we are positioning you for success. At the end of this session, most applicants have a high-level outline to start writing their first draft. - ESSAY REVISIONS (unlimited): Once you have a first draft ready to go, we will work together asynchronously to make your essay powerful, clear, and compelling. This process is different for every student, with many essays going through 4-6 revision cycles. - EDITING CHECK-IN (30 min): Once we feel we are in a great place on the essay, we reserve some time to reflect and discuss the story you are telling. Here is our chance to really make sure we are focusing on the right things and are ready for final polishing. - ESSAY POLISHING (asynchronous review): At this point, I take a fine tooth comb through your essay and make sure you are nailing the grammar and everything is consistent. This critical piece ensures that the admissions board at your target school are focused on the story you are telling them, not the spelling mistakes in the first paragraph. After this stage, you are ready for submission! Process management: - To make sure we stay on track, I will provide you with a target timeline with deadlines for each step. While we can be flexible, it is important that we stay in close communication to ensure a smooth submission. - To avoid any version control issues or saving hiccups, we will work together on a live essay document on Google Docs. This allows us to make comments and keep everything in one place. I suggest saving down versions after each cycle just in case. This process is different for everybody, and I am here to make sure you are putting your best foot forward in your MBA application. We will work together to craft your story from start to finish.
