I've spent 18+ years in data and analytics, and most of that has come down to one thing: getting people to actually use it. Today I'm a data and analytics director at Optimum, leading governance, platform, and reliability across several teams. Before that I spent nine years at The Hartford building self-service BI that grew from a single team to 450 developers and 8,000+ users. I also hold an M.S. in Business Analytics. The work I'm proudest of isn't a dashboard - it's the analysts and business leaders who walked away able to answer their own questions. That's what I coach. I've built and led analytics teams and sat on plenty of interview panels, so I know what hiring managers screen for and where strong people stall. I made the jump from hands-on analyst to leader myself, and I've helped a lot of people around me do the same - through boot camps, a Data Champions program, and a lot of one-on-one mentoring.
