Amir Javaid

I help candidates break into investment banking and make the transition to private equity — technicals, behaviorals, and generally how to behave like a banker or an investor in an interview. I started as a restructuring analyst at Houlihan Lokey, later worked in TMT banking and growth equity at The Raine Group, and now I’m a VP at HarbourView Equity Partners where I focus on private equity and growth equity investing. I’ve been on both sides of the table: as a candidate grinding through recruiting, and as someone who’s since helped build out deal teams and figure out who would make a good banker or investor. I’ll give you honest, specific feedback and I’ll also push you to believe you belong in the room, because most candidates need both. I'll also try to make the process fun and enjoyable because at the end of the day, while banking and investing are serious fields, it's important to bring your best, most comfortable self when going for these roles.
