Build Your Personal Budget with Claude

Build Your Personal Budget with Claude

SESSION GUIDE: https://www.lelandcourses.com/ai-builder/personal-budget-build/ Most personal budgets die by February. You build a beautiful spreadsheet in January, miss a week of updates, and never open it again. The numbers stop matching reality, and the plan stops working. In this exclusive AI Builder session, Ben Lazaroff will walk you step by step through building a personal budget powered by Claude. By the end of the hour you'll have a working AI that tracks where your money goes, flags when you're drifting, and tells you in plain English whether you can swing that flight home this summer. But the budget is just the on-ramp. The real takeaway is the playbook: how to hand any messy, recurring part of your life over to AI. First a budget. Next a meal planner, a job search tracker, a CFO for your side hustle. Same skill, different shape. Ben has spent his career thinking about how money moves: private equity at Bain, economic development policy at the Chicago Mayor's Office. Same rigor, much smaller balance sheet. You'll be building alongside him in real time. No demo, no notes for later. You'll leave with a finished budget and a clearer sense of what else you could build next.

One Week to R1: The 3 Essay Mistakes I Flagged as a Booth Admissions Fellow [9/9/2026] (Recording)

One Week to R1: The 3 Essay Mistakes I Flagged as a Booth Admissions Fellow [9/9/2026] (Recording)

Booth's Round 1 deadline is September 15 and most other R1 deadlines land the same week. The essays I read still have the same three problems. I spent a year as an Admissions Fellow at Chicago Booth reading applications, running 60-minute interviews, and writing the evaluation that went to the committee, so I saw what moved a file forward and what got skimmed. In 30 minutes I'll cover three mistakes. The essay that re-argues the resume. The why-this-school answer anyone could have Googled. The story with no cost in it. Each one with before-and-after language you can apply the same night. Bring a paragraph you're stuck on. I'll take as many as I can in the last 10 minutes. If you're aiming at Round 2, everything here still applies. You just have more time to use it.

MBB Math Guide

MBB Math Guide

The interviewer slides a number across the table, the mental clock starts, and a perfectly capable person goes silent, scrawls something unlabeled in a corner of the page, and produces an answer with no idea whether it's plausible. This guide fixes that. It distills MBB quantitative interviewing down to the seven patterns that show up again and again: market sizing, breakeven, profitability trees, ROI and payback, the margin-versus-markup trap, capacity and utilization, and unit economics. It works each one through a full, spoken-aloud solution, the way you'd actually deliver it in the room. You'll learn to frame the equation before you calculate, round aggressively and say so, sanity-check every number against the real world, and close with the one sentence that separates a calculator from a consultant.

The speaker brings deep hedge fund experience and regularly coaches candidates on pitching and interview prep. They’ll share the patterns they see across successful pitches and the kinds of feedback typically given in 1:1 coaching sessions.
