Sideways into AI
This is 1:1 coaching for individuals: people who want to move into an AI role, or start using AI in their own work, without a technical background. It is not consulting for companies or teams. I came into AI sideways. No CS degree. I saw what someone built with Claude Code, built my first app on the side, joined BCG's Applied AI team, and now lead AI transformation strategy at Scribe. This package is the path I wish I'd had. Before we start: - A short intake form: your background, the AI roles or uses you're curious about, and what's stopping you. - Send me your résumé and LinkedIn. Session 1 · Where you fit (60 min): we map the AI roles that fit your background (strategy, operations, product, customer-facing, and more) and pick one or two to aim for. You leave knowing which doors are realistic for you and why. Session 2 · Put AI to work (60 min): we build one small AI workflow for a task you do every week, in the tool you already use (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Copilot). It becomes your proof: something real you can show and talk about. Between sessions: I review your résumé and LinkedIn for the move, line by line. Session 3 · Your story (60 min): we practice your "why AI, why me" story out loud and plan outreach to the companies you're targeting. You'll leave with: - One or two target AI roles and why they fit you - A working AI workflow you built yourself - A résumé and LinkedIn rewritten for the move - Your pivot story, practiced and ready
What's included
I made this move in under a year, so I bring the real version: what worked, what didn't, and what AI-native companies actually look for. You build something real in session 2, because showing beats telling. Each session ends with one or two things to do before the next one. I'm direct, practical, and I'll tell you when you're confusing motion with progress.
