Spring Entry - Application Package

Spring entry runs on a compressed timeline. Most schools with a January start have priority deadlines in late September and final deadlines in November. This package is built to work inside that window. It's designed for applicants who withdrew or took time away from a program, reapplicants, career changers, and anyone who decided too late for the fall cycle. We start with the school list. There are fewer spring-start programs than people expect, and the lists circulating online are out of date. Several schools on them have closed or lost ABA accreditation. I verify which programs are actually running a January cohort this year, what their priority and final deadlines are, and which ones will realistically consider your record. You get that as a spreadsheet you can work from, with deadlines and notes on fit. Then we build the file. Personal statement. If you have a draft, we work from it. If you don't, we start with a conversation about what you want the reader to come away with. My edits come back in the document itself. Line edits are marked as strikethrough and anything structural comes in as a comment, so you can see what changed and why. Addenda. Most spring applicants have something to explain. A withdrawal, a weak semester, a gap, repeat LSAT sittings, a character and fitness disclosure. This is usually the highest-stakes writing in the application and the part applicants handle worst. We decide together what needs an addendum, what doesn't, and how long each one should be. In most cases they run too long. A short addendum that states the facts beats a long one that argues. Resume in law school format, which is not the format you use for jobs. Recommendations. I'll help you decide who to ask, what to send them, and when, working backward from your deadlines. Optional and school-specific essays for up to ten schools. Additional schools are available as an add-on. A full review of every application before you submit. That includes the LSAC forms and disclosures, not only the essays. Those are where people rush and make mistakes that are hard to undo. After submission we cover waitlist strategy, letters of continued interest, and scholarship negotiation if offers come in.

I grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning degrees in French and Political Science. Driven by a passion for international perspectives, I pursued a JD/LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from Duke University School of Law. After briefly practicing law, I quickly realized that my passion lay not in practicing it, but rather in helping others navigate their own educational and professional journeys. This realization prompted a meaningful career shift into university admissions and student advising—an area where I found my true calling. Over the past 15 years, I've accumulated extensive admissions experience, working closely with undergraduate, law, and MBA applicants from diverse backgrounds worldwide. My admissions experience spans prestigious institutions and roles, including Assistant Director of Recruitment and Admissions at the University of Chicago Booth Executive MBA program, Senior Lead Counsellor at AddedEducation, US Strategy Consultant at Crimson Education, and admissions counseling roles at various international colleges and universities. Having lived and worked in Hong Kong for more than a decade, I developed deep insights into how different cultures approach education and career planning. I've guided hundreds of students through successful applications, resulting in acceptances to top-tier institutions including Harvard, Penn, Princeton, Yale, UC Berkeley, Columbia, Brown, and in the UK schools like Oxford, Cambridge, and King's College London.. Now back in my hometown of Raleigh, North Carolina, I continue empowering students globally, leveraging my deep understanding of admissions processes and firsthand insights into what top schools seek in their applicants. Whether you're applying to undergraduate programs, top law schools, or elite MBA programs, I'm here to provide personalized, strategic guidance that highlights your unique strengths and authentic story. I have extensive experience coaching LGBTQ+ applicants on personal statements, identity narratives, and community-impact supplements with a focus on authenticity and strategy.
