I spent nearly ten years as a Navy pilot and officer, most of it based in Europe. I helped stand up the Navy's first new helicopter squadron there in about twenty years, grew it from 2 aircraft and 50 people to 7 and 300, and later ran flight operations, scheduling, and readiness for a 350-person ship. I hold a B.S. in Economics from the Naval Academy and an MBA from USC Marshall. My most recent role was with the Navy Wounded Warrior Program, where I was the senior case manager on a seven-person team supporting 50+ sailors of my own and their families, many of them heading toward separation. The part I found most rewarding was sitting with someone at the moment their original plan fell apart and helping them build a new one: what roles to target, whether school actually made sense, how to use their VA benefits, and how to tell their story to an employer who has never worn a uniform. That's what I coach now. Positioning and resumes, getting found by recruiters instead of disappearing into application portals, running a search that produces conversations, and using AI tools well at every step so you move faster than the people you're competing with.
