Make Your Pivot Make Sense: Resume, LinkedIn and Pitch for Your Next Role
For when you know where you want to go, but your resume and LinkedIn still tell the story of where you've been. Over 8 weeks, we rebuild how you show up on paper so your next move looks obvious, not like a leap. If you've done Phase 1, we build straight from your Career Compass. If you're starting here, we begin with a shorter version of the achievement work so everything we write is grounded in evidence. Here's what we'll work through together: - Your resume, bullet by bullet. Each bullet starts from a real achievement: the context, what you did, the result, and why it mattered. - Tailored versions. A master resume, plus 2 to 3 versions aimed at your target directions. - LinkedIn. Headline, About section, and experience descriptions that match your new direction, not your old job title. - Cover letter blocks. Reusable sections for why this role, which skills matter, and why this firm, which you can recombine for each application. - Your introduction. Short versions of your story for networking, recruiter messages, and the "tell me about yourself" question.
What's included
- 30-minute video sessions as needed over 2 months, so we meet when there's something to work through rather than on a fixed schedule - We work on shared documents between sessions - Unlimited email and WhatsApp support throughout. If I haven't heard from you in a while, I'll check in - Feedback on anything you send within 48 hours, excluding weekends I'll push for writing that's specific and true to you, and I'll tell you honestly when a line sounds like everyone else's.
- A master resume built bullet by bullet from your strongest achievements
- 2 to 3 tailored resumes, each aimed at one of your target directions
- A rewritten LinkedIn profile: headline, About section and experience
- A set of cover letter blocks you can adapt for any application
- Your introduction in short and long versions, ready for networking and interviews

I help mid-career pros make their next move | Lived 6 pivots | Guided 40+
Most people who come to me don’t lack advice. Some are still deciding where to go next. Others know exactly where they want to be, and can’t seem to get there. Either way, it can feel overwhelming. That’s what I help with: finding the right move, and then actually making it. I’ve helped 40+ professionals transition into consulting, finance, product/tech, and retail/e-commerce, among others. At Booth, I also prepared 70+ classmates for consulting interviews, with 25 offers. A few examples: - A Big 4 finance transformation lead about to apply for an MBA moved into strategy consulting without one, saving ~$200K - An engineer in a technical oil and gas role went to Darden on scholarship, then McKinsey - A private equity investor left to try entrepreneurship, realized a year later it wasn’t the fit, and joined Point72 - A Booth MBA six months into a stalled product search landed product roles at TinyCo, Dropbox and Salesforce Throughout my career, I have been a derivatives trader, a McKinsey consultant, a commodities trader, an e-commerce executive, and a sportswear CEO across five countries. Some of these I planned; most happened to me. I have taken the wrong job, turned down the right one, and lived with both long enough to recognize the difference. I am direct because I’ve watched too many good decisions get lost in polite hedging. MBA ADMISSIONS On the MBA side, I have helped people apply to top programs since graduating from Booth in 2010, where I also served as an alumni admissions interviewer. My clients have earned 300+ admits and $12M in scholarships across every T15 school, LBS, and INSEAD. A few results: - A Microsoft engineer: admitted to Stanford GSB, Wharton, Kellogg and Yale, with scholarships at Kellogg and Yale - A McKinsey alum at Careem: Stanford GSB and Columbia - A GE Healthcare professional: Booth, Yale and Tuck, all three with scholarships - A lawyer-turned-founder rejected by 10+ schools the year before: Darden, with a $160K scholarship A few lines from my testimonials. - “Amrit’s striking attribute lies in his unapologetic honesty, a rarity in this field.” Kripanshi J., Stanford GSB and Wharton - “Before you lose yourself in your version of a perfect world or self-doubt, he acts as a voice of sanity.” Wasim S., Tuck, LBS, Ross and NYU Poet and Quants Top 40 2023
