How do I move from being valued for delivery to being trusted for leadership? What needs to change before the next step becomes possible? The Career Diagnostic Debrief is designed to help you pause, make sense of where you are, and identify the most useful next moves with clarity. I’m Nirmalya Mukherjee, an ICF-ACC certified coach with nearly three decades of leadership experience across AWS, Deloitte, KPMG, and global technology environments. I have worked with professionals navigating the shift from technical depth to strategic leadership, from execution to influence, and from career uncertainty to a more intentional next chapter. This debrief is for professionals who are at an inflection point. You may be considering a career shift. You may be preparing for a larger leadership role. You may be successful on paper, but sensing that your current path no longer fully fits. Or you may simply want a clearer, more honest view of what is helping your growth — and what may be holding it back. In our session, we will look at three things together. First, we will examine your current career landscape: your aspirations, strengths, patterns, frustrations, and the choices in front of you. Second, we will explore your leadership identity. Not as a generic label, but as a practical question: how do you want to be seen, trusted, and valued at the next level? Third, we will translate the discussion into a focused roadmap. You will leave with clearer priorities, sharper positioning, and a set of actions that feel grounded in who you are — not borrowed from someone else’s playbook. My role is not to hand you a formula. It is to help you see your situation more clearly, challenge a few assumptions where needed, and support you in making decisions with more confidence and less noise. Your next chapter does not need to be rushed. But it does need to be intentional.

I work with clients by starting with clarity, not assumptions. Whether the challenge is a career transition, a leadership inflection point, a technology decision, or an organizational transformation, my first task is to understand what is really going on beneath the surface. Often, the visible issue is only a symptom. The real constraint may be unclear priorities, weak alignment, outdated operating rhythms, gaps in leadership identity, or decisions that have not yet been made with enough precision. My approach combines structured inquiry, real-world executive experience, and practical strategy. I do not believe in generic frameworks, motivational advice, or one-size-fits-all playbooks. Each engagement is shaped around the client’s context, goals, constraints, and stage of growth. Together, we diagnose the real pattern, challenge assumptions, surface blind spots, and translate insight into action. For individuals, that may mean strengthening leadership presence, reframing career value, or navigating the shift from technical expertise to strategic influence. For organizations, it may mean aligning leadership, clarifying decision rights, strengthening operating models, or turning transformation intent into executable movement. The work is both rigorous and human. There is strategic structure, but also space for reflection, identity shifts, trust-building, and the deeper leadership work required for lasting change. The goal is not just to create a plan. The goal is to help clients see clearly, decide wisely, and move forward with confidence.

For more than 30 years, I built my career across global organizations, including Deloitte, KPMG, Rolta, and Amazon Web Services. I built and scaled teams, led large transformation programs, and sat in rooms with senior leaders trying to make hard decisions under real pressure. From the outside, it looked like a straight line up. It wasn't. There were stretches where I felt stuck behind a title that no longer fit, moments when I had to start over, and quieter periods where I wasn't sure what "next" was supposed to mean. I rarely said any of that out loud. Most people in those rooms don't. That experience is why I started Journey Redefined. I work as a career and leadership coach for people at the turning points that matter: a promotion that stalled, a leadership role that feels heavier than expected, a pivot they can't quite name yet.
