But with a little guidance, you can make your personal statement the strongest part of your application. This package is perfect for clients who want guidance on an in-progress application for grad school—whether it’s for a master’s, PhD, or other graduate level program. Send me a draft at least 24 hours before our call, and I’ll review it with comments and suggestions that we will tackle together during our 1 hour live session. We can target anything from grammar to structural revision to enhancing your personal and professional voice. Whether you want a second set of eyes to make sure you’re on the right track, or a professional to tear apart your first draft, you’ll come out of our session armed with the skills to improve your writing overall. After our session, I will review up to two subsequent drafts to ensure you’re on the right track to nailing your dream school! Timeline: Before our session: Book this package and send me a draft or outline 24 hours before our live session. I will review your draft before our session to make the most of our time. During our session: I will talk you through the balance between a professional and personal tone, the most effective structure for your essay, and even the smallest grammatical shifts to elevate your writing to the best that it can be. After our session: After our session, you are welcome to send me up to two revised drafts—whether they are for the application we worked on together or for another graduate school application. Zuwena V.

Zuwena (she/her) has over seven years of coaching experience on an international scale. From tutoring at the University of Texas at San Antonio to teaching English through various institutions in the Trans-Himalayan region, Zuwena has worked extensively with students of diverse backgrounds and from different walks of life. She has aided her students in achieving admission into their first choice graduate, medical, doctoral, law, and other programs, as well as on their theses and dissertations for those same programs. Zuwena holds a Master’s degree in Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics from the University of Oxford, a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and a Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) certification. Having made the leap from her local state university to her first choice master’s program, Zuwena has a unique understanding of the inner workings of Oxbridge and Ivy League institutions. She believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to achieve their goals, no matter their background, and this belief she enacts through coaching. Outside of coaching, Zuwena volunteers for a non-profit in sustainability data analytics, mentors the youth in her community, and teaches English to speakers of other languages. She spends her free time bouldering, pursuing the arts, and reading everything she can get her hands on.
