Choose the Right Firm: Offer Decision with an Ex-BCG Consultant

You worked hard for these offers. Now you have to pick one, and every firm tells you its culture is the best. I've worked at BCG, Oliver Wyman, and Deloitte, and I broke in as a non-target. I know what the recruiting pitch leaves out: how staffing really works, what the first year feels like day to day, how people get promoted, and which exit paths each firm actually opens up. In this session, we'll: - Get clear on what you want from the next 2 to 3 years, not just the prestige ranking - Compare your offers on what matters: staffing model, office culture, training, exits, and lifestyle - Figure out the questions to ask your future colleagues before you sign - Make a decision you feel confident about Best for: candidates holding 2 or more consulting offers, or deciding between consulting and another path.
What's included
Before our session, send me your offer details and what you're weighing. We'll talk it through openly, and I'll tell you what I've seen from the inside rather than giving you the firm's marketing pitch. I'm not affiliated with any firm's recruiting team, so my only goal is helping you pick the right fit.
- A clear decision, and the reasons behind it
- A side-by-side comparison of your offers on the factors that matter most to you
- A list of questions to ask firm contacts before you accept

Break In as a Non-Target! | Former BCG, Oliver Wyman & Deloitte Consultant
I grew up on the East Coast, studied in Boston, and spent most of my adult life in San Francisco before a year-long sabbatical brought me to New Zealand. I fell in love with the country and made the move at the start of 2025. I still travel regularly between New Zealand and the US. Both worlds feel like home now. I spent a decade in consulting and tech in the Bay Area. But beyond my professional identity, I've always thought of myself as an artist too. I paint, and that instinct for creativity carries into how I work with clients. I'm also a 200-hour certified yoga instructor. Years of practicing yoga and meditating across different countries changed how I think about decisions, resilience, and what good judgment actually looks like under pressure. Now I coach full time and invest in the New Zealand startup ecosystem. I work with ambitious people who are usually at a crossroads between where they've been and where they know they want to go. If that sounds familiar, I'd love to connect. When I'm not working, you can find me painting, on the tennis court, in a fitness class, or out hiking and camping somewhere in the beautiful New Zealand outdoors.
