Build With AI Agents: 5 Hours From Idea to Working Prototype

Five hours of paired work to take one idea from notes to a prototype that runs. You set up a coding agent on your own machine, learn the prompt and review loop I use at work, and leave with a repo you own plus a written list of next steps.

Five hours of paired work to take one product idea from notes to something that runs. We start by cutting the idea down to a version that fits in five hours, then build in short passes with you at the keyboard. You set up a coding agent on your own machine, learn the prompt and review loop I use at work, and leave with a repo that runs plus a written list of next steps. I lead a surgical software team at Stryker, where I have shipped AI powered medical devices and led one of the first FDA 510(k) cybersecurity approvals under the new federal guidance. Agent output gets the same review as anything else that ships. Bring an idea, a laptop, and whatever code you already have.

What's included

5h of coaching$70/hr · Live Sessions$350
Total$350

I work in short passes. You drive and I review, and we keep the project running at the end of every session so nothing sits half built. Between sessions you get a written note with what changed and what to try next. I have managed engineering teams for a decade, so how the work is set up matters to me as much as the code. No slide decks unless you ask for one.

  • A working prototype that runs on your machine, in a repo you own
  • A scope and a cut list for the five hours, agreed in the first session
  • A coding agent set up on your stack, with its config files committed in your repo
  • The prompt and review loop I run before anything ships
  • A deploy checklist and a written next-step list for after the package

I'm Marty, a software R&D leader, indie builder, and lifelong tinkerer based in Orange, CA. By day, I'm a software R&D manager in the medical device industry, leading a team that builds surgical safety platforms used in operating rooms around the world. I've spent 12+ years in software across the electric vehicle and medical device industries — two fields where the code you ship has to work, every time, for people who are counting on it. That shaped how I think about AI: with genuine excitement, and genuine respect for the stakes. Off the clock, I can't stop building. I'm the founder of StackedUp.finance, a personal finance platform I built from scratch with Claude Code. I run a home lab with self-hosted AI inference, a media stack, and more side projects than my wife has patience for. I've learned these tools the same way I'm going to teach them — by using them, breaking things, and figuring out what actually holds up in production. Outside of work and tinkering, I'm a husband and dad, a drummer, an Anaheim Ducks and Chelsea fan, and a pretty committed home improvement guy. I believe the best coaches are practitioners first — people who are still in the game, still shipping, still learning. That's the kind of coach I want to be for you.
