The Wharton School Application
Full-service application support for The Wharton School, designed for candidates who want every piece of their Wharton application strategically positioned and rigorously executed. Wharton's application is unique among top MBA programs, its essays evaluate fit with Wharton specifically, and its Team-Based Discussion interview format requires a kind of preparation that no other school demands. The work centers on building an application that demonstrates clear fit with Wharton and prepares you for the full evaluation process. The engagement begins with a comprehensive intake and narrative discovery session. We work to surface the through-line in your career and identify what genuinely connects you to Wharton specifically, beyond surface-level reasons. Wharton evaluates "Why Wharton" with real seriousness, and weak applications often fail because the candidate hasn't articulated specific, defensible reasons. Wharton's essays each get the depth of attention they require. We work iteratively through multiple substantive drafts (typically 5–8 rounds per essay), refining structure, voice, and Wharton-specific positioning until each essay is genuinely strong. Beyond the essays, the package covers a polished resume crafted specifically for Wharton, strategic recommendation letter guidance (Wharton uses 2 recommenders), the activities and short-answer sections, and the post-MBA career goals framing. If you're invited to interview, the package includes full preparation for both stages of Wharton's evaluation: the Team-Based Discussion (a unique 35-minute group exercise where you collaborate with 5–6 other candidates on a prompt while observed by admissions) and the traditional 1-on-1 interview that follows. The TBD specifically requires preparation that goes beyond standard interview prep, you're being evaluated on collaboration, listening, contribution, and group dynamics, not just your individual answers. We work through the format, practice scenarios, and develop strategies for showing up well in a group setting. Throughout the engagement, you have direct messaging access for time-sensitive questions, and we meet live for strategy work and substantive drafting sessions across the application cycle.
What's included
This package combines live 1-on-1 video sessions with asynchronous review of essay drafts, application materials, and direct messaging access throughout the engagement. We meet live for strategy work, substantive drafting sessions, and key inflection points in the cycle, typically every 1–2 weeks during the lead-up to the application, stepping up to weekly or more frequent sessions as deadlines approach. My approach is structured and direct. On essays, I work iteratively rather than trying to "fix" drafts in two passes. On the Team-Based Discussion specifically, I treat the prep seriously, it's not the same as 1-on-1 interview prep, and candidates who treat it casually often underperform. We work through the format, practice live scenarios, and refine your approach across multiple rounds. I also serve as an alumni interviewer for Columbia Business School admissions, which gives me a current, first-hand perspective on what selective adcoms are evaluating in candidates. The candidates I work best with for Wharton are professionals with clear career achievements, specific reasons for choosing Wharton (not just "top program"), and the willingness to prepare seriously for both the essays and the unique TBD format that sets Wharton apart.

Admissions Expert | Columbia MBA | 15 Years of M7 & Top School Admits
I work with students aiming for top outcomes: a 1400+ SAT, a 700+ GMAT, or admission to highly selective colleges and MBA programs. Over 16+ years and 3,000+ students across six continents, I've built a practice around one idea: most students don't need more work, they need the right work, structured the right way. My career started at Prep Zone in Singapore, where I helped expand the company into Shanghai before returning to New York and joining some of the city's top test prep and admissions firms, including Veritas Prep, Bespoke Education, and Advantage Testing. I went on to found my own practice, Global Scholars, where I now work with students across six continents. On the testing side, my students average 200+ point gains on the SAT and 100+ on the GMAT. This is driven by pattern recognition, test strategy, and disciplined execution rather than brute-force practice. On the admissions side, my work is about coherence. Smart students often arrive with strong but scattered pieces: academics, extracurriculars, a story they haven't fully figured out. My job is to help them put it all together: a sharp narrative, a strategic school list, and essays that actually sound like them. 95%+ of my students are admitted to at least one of their top-choice schools, including Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Columbia, MIT, UChicago, NYU, and UCLA. I graduated from NYU and earned my MBA from Columbia Business School, which gives me a current, first-hand perspective on both undergraduate and MBA admissions. If you want a structured, strategic partner, not generic advice, let's talk.
