GMAT Targeted Tutoring
Focused 1-on-1 GMAT tutoring designed for candidates who have specific weaknesses to address or shorter prep timelines. The right package for candidates who don't need a full prep arc, just expert, targeted work on the areas holding their score back. The package begins with a full-length proctored GMAT Focus diagnostic to identify exactly where points are leaking. From there, we use the 1-on-1 instruction to focus tightly on the highest-leverage areas whether that's a Quant content gap, Verbal pacing issues, Data Insights pattern recognition, time management problems, or specific question types being missed consistently. Available in two tiers based on the scope of work you need: 12 hours: Best for candidates with one or two specific weaknesses to address and a short timeline. Includes diagnostic, focused instruction, and a mid-engagement practice test. 15 hours: Best for candidates with slightly broader scope or who want additional flexibility for review and refinement. Includes everything in the 12-hour tier plus additional instruction time. All proprietary curriculum and lesson materials are included. Students are expected to purchase the GMAT Official Guide and GMAC's official practice tests separately. Targeted is best suited for candidates who already have a baseline of solid GMAT preparation and need expert work on specific weaknesses, not candidates starting from scratch. Students starting from a lower baseline or aiming for larger score gains should consider Standard Tutoring or the Intensive package.
What's included
This package is built for focused, surgical work, not broad curriculum coverage. Before our first session, you take a full-length proctored GMAT Focus diagnostic, and I analyze the results carefully to identify exactly where the highest-leverage focus areas are. Our 1-on-1 work goes directly to those areas. My approach is built on pattern recognition, test strategy, and disciplined execution, not endless practice tests. The GMAT rewards candidates who understand how the test is designed, where the traps are, and how to manage the clock under pressure. In a Targeted engagement, I'm laser-focused on the specific patterns costing you points and the strategic shifts that will unlock the gain. Between sessions, you have direct messaging access for time-sensitive questions. The Targeted package is the right fit when there's a clear, identifiable problem to solve.

I work with students aiming for top outcomes: a 1400+ SAT, a 700+ GMAT, or admission to highly selective colleges and MBA programs. Over 16+ years and 3,000+ students across six continents, I've built a practice around one idea: most students don't need more work, they need the right work, structured the right way. My career started at Prep Zone in Singapore, where I helped expand the company into Shanghai before returning to New York and joining some of the city's top test prep and admissions firms, including Veritas Prep, Bespoke Education, and Advantage Testing. I went on to found my own practice, Global Scholars, where I now work with students across six continents. On the testing side, my students average 200+ point gains on the SAT and 100+ on the GMAT. This is driven by pattern recognition, test strategy, and disciplined execution rather than brute-force practice. On the admissions side, my work is about coherence. Smart students often arrive with strong but scattered pieces: academics, extracurriculars, a story they haven't fully figured out. My job is to help them put it all together: a sharp narrative, a strategic school list, and essays that actually sound like them. 95%+ of my students are admitted to at least one of their top-choice schools, including Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Columbia, MIT, UChicago, NYU, and UCLA. I graduated from NYU and earned my MBA from Columbia Business School, which gives me a current, first-hand perspective on both undergraduate and MBA admissions. If you want a structured, strategic partner, not generic advice, let's talk.
