I applied to Stanford GSB and Oxford from Turkey, with a path that didn't fit any template: government work in Rwanda and Ethiopia and early-stage venture in Turkey. I got into both on scholarships. What worked wasn't a polished résumé. It was knowing which story to tell and how to tell it to a reader who has three minutes and a stack of three hundred. That's what I help with. For years friends have sent me their essays and asked me to run mock interviews, and I've spent hundreds of hours reading drafts, finding the thread, cutting what doesn't matter. Most of them got in. I'm now doing it properly, with a small number of applicants each cycle. I'm especially good with international candidates, because I was one: the questions about how much to explain, how to frame a non-Western path, how to sound like yourself in a second language. I graduated from Columbia Business School in 2020 as a Meyer Feldberg Distinguished Fellow, which covered my full tuition. My path there was unusual. I spent two years at Accenture, then eight months as a TechnoServe volunteer consultant in Eswatini, then two years running new country expansion for One Acre Fund in Zambia. I scored 770 on the GMAT, and the scholarship came from the story I told about why a consultant moved to rural Africa and what I wanted to do next. I know how that story was built because I built it. Since then I've coached applicants through Wall Street Tequila and other admissions firms, most of them international students and young professionals from China and Asia applying to M7 and top-15 US programs. I work on the whole application, but the essays are where I spend most of my time, because that's where a strong candidate usually loses the scholarship. My approach is to find the one thing in your background that an admissions reader will remember a week later, then build every essay and the interview around it. I speak Mandarin and English natively, so if you're a Chinese speaker I can work with you in either language and help you turn an accomplishment that impresses people at home into one that impresses a reader in New York. I'll also tell you plainly which schools are a reach and which are a fit, because applying to the wrong list costs more than any coaching fee.

In my own application, I benefitted greatly from an admissions consultant who coached me to write the best essay possible to capture my unique qualities and strengths. Quick tip: When you submit your MBA application, you must be able to say without a doubt that the admissions committee knows who YOU are after reading your materials - authenticity is paramount. I have always been an avid reader and strong writer, and am the de facto editor for my friends and family. For credentials, I scored in the 99th percentile on GMAT verbal; received a perfect SAT score for my college applications in 2012 (2400); and a perfect SAT critical reading score (800). I will be able to help you not only with essay ideation but also with structural questions and revisions. While I am most passionate about essay ideation and writing, I am qualified to help on any of the short answer questions, as well as work with you to create the strongest MBA resume possible.
