About the event

Most applicants build their MBA application from the bottom up: picking essay stories, editing a résumé, and answering prompts one by one. A stronger application starts from the top. In this session, I’ll show you how to build a coherent MBA application strategy around the question: What should the admissions committee understand and remember about you? We’ll cover how to: Diagnose your full profile before writing essays Define the personal archetype you want your application to communicate Create dimensionality without making your application feel disconnected Decide what your résumé, essays, recommendations, and interview should each accomplish Avoid repeating the same professional story across every component Choose stories based on what the application needs, not simply what sounds most impressive Connect your past, career goals, MBA rationale, and school fit into one coherent narrative Identify gaps, contradictions, and weaknesses before you start drafting You’ll leave with a framework for thinking about your application as one integrated story rather than a collection of separate essays. This session is especially useful if you are applying in the upcoming MBA cycle, beginning to develop your application strategy, or struggling to decide which parts of your background should feature most prominently.
