Most interview advice is a list of questions. This session takes one real answer apart and rebuilds it in front of you. I did a Master in Management and have spent 8+ years in strategy and finance across six countries. I have mentored clients on their MiM, Master in Finance and MBA applications across the US, Europe and Asia, and I have run a lot of mock interviews. Most of what I will show you comes from those. In 1 hour, I will cover what they are actually testing, which is not what you know and not what is on your CV. Why the answer most people give to tell me about yourself fails, using a real one from a mock, anonymised, which you will read before I say anything about it. The ninety-second clock for the one question you are certain to be asked. Four techniques that work on any question at all, including the one that makes an interviewer open three boxes in their head before you have said anything. Why the answer you wrote for your essay does not survive being spoken. What separates a specific answer from a generic one on why this school and on your goals, with both versions side by side.
