I am a senior undergraduate student at Duke University who recently completed the medical school application process, receiving 15 interviews and planning to matriculate at Vanderbilt School of Medicine. Many of my interviewers specifically highlighted my personal statement in their compliments, and asked in depth about my secondaries. As someone without any significant X factors or super high stats, I strongly believe that my essays played a significant role in having a successful application cycle. I'm a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford Medicine with an MD and MBA from Yale, where I graduated as part of a highly selective dual-degree program.
