Welcome to my profile! I have a B.S in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford and a Harvard MBA (class of '23.) My background is a bit non-linear - I work full-time in venture capital, and prior to my MBA I worked across engineering and operations teams in deep tech startups. If you are an engineer or tech person looking to use an MBA pivot to business or escape the engineering silo, I have been in your shoes. I know, because I’ve been there. I grew up in a low-income community, worked my way into Deloitte, and earned admission to Harvard Business School without the kind of advantages many applicants rely on. I’ve also coached consultants and bankers who worried they’d blend into the crowd. What I’ve learned is that admissions committees aren’t just looking for high scores and polished resumes—they’re looking for people with a story. I help applicants surface the experiences, values, and strengths that make them memorable and compelling, even when they feel “average” on paper. I am an MS Engineering and MBA student at Harvard and I work with applicants who want support on interview prep and essay editing. When I was applying to business schools, I had no direct experience of applying to US schools. However, my goal was to apply to internationally recognized business schools to ensure that I got the full benefit of taking 2 years out of my career to study full time. I had a small network of friends and mentors that had successfully been admitted into top-tier schools like HBS, Stanford GSB, MIT Sloan, and LBS. Without their guidance, I would not have successfully been admitted into my schools of choice. My MBA opened up opportunities for me to pivot from working in mining, to management consulting at BCG, and subsequently to senior strategy and operations roles at Capital One and Google.
