With a background in journalism and public relations, I've helped many people through the storytelling process. I worked for over 15 hours with a friend on their application to Harvard Business School, to which they were accepted. Personally, I've found themes in my life and crafted a story that merited my acceptance to BYU Law, as well as all BYU undergrad locations, even when on the surface my story can seem commonplace. I ensure students put their best foot forward by helping them formulate and revise their stories to impress any admissions committee, from state schools to the Ivy Leagues. As a writing tutor, I've worked closely with over 30 students to answer questions like these: What should I write about? What if I don't have enough experience to respond well to the prompt? How can I shorten my writing? Is my grammar correct? (And this list only scratches the surface.) Students who worked with me improved drastically in their writing and earned near-perfect scores.
