Hi future doctors! I am a current third year medical student at UVA, and I remember the daunting reality of Medical School Applications better than I'd like to. I am eager and excited to offer some reassurance, advice, resources, guidance, and ideas to make your application journey as smooth and stress free as possible. I applied to a vast range of medical schools, scored a 520 on my MCAT, completed 6 interviews with an array of diverse programs, suffered through CASPR testing just like you all, crafted numerous drafts of supplemental essays and personal statements, volunteered with over six community organizations, participated in bench research, and utilized the advice of those ahead of me to ultimately end up at University of Virginia, where I am absolutely thrilled to be completing my MD training each day. The journey is exhausting, but I have been through each step and have gained a wealth of knowledge to pass on to you all. Thus far, I have mentored 4 students through the application process. Two of them are still applying, and the other two are now here at UVA School of Medicine in classes below me.
